Most people who studied a language for years still freeze in a real conversation. That gap isn't about vocabulary lists — it's about never having practised the actual situation.
Why I built HESIVO
Language can close doors that have nothing to do with talent.
A job requires you to be bilingual, and the interview is in the language you're still unsure about. You're at a hospital reception and can't explain what's wrong. You're standing in a supermarket or a market, understanding everything but unable to answer. Many people want to learn a language but lose their confidence the moment it counts.
I saw this clearly while living in Thailand. In some everyday situations, such as visiting offices, immigration services, hospitals or shops, people may need to communicate in a language they are still learning. Travellers sometimes rely on translation apps just to be understood. These tools can help, but they do not always give people the confidence to speak for themselves.
That's why I built HESIVO. It doesn't start with a lesson. It starts with the situation you're about to face: the appointment, the interview, the landlord, the pharmacy. You prepare for it, practise the words it needs, rehearse the conversation with an AI partner by text or voice, and get feedback on what to improve. By the time the real moment comes, you've already been there.
HESIVO is built and run by one person, so when you send feedback, I read it. KVista, the studio behind it, takes its name from the first letters of two people close to me.

What we're building today
HESIVO is a communication practice platform. You choose a real-life situation, prepare for it, practise the language it needs, hold the conversation with an AI partner in writing or out loud, and get feedback on how it went. Your Communication Passport keeps track of where you feel ready and where you don't.
French and English are available now. The product is designed to work in any language pair, and more languages will follow.

Every situation exists because someone actually has to get through it — a phone call, an appointment, a form, an interview.

Understanding a language and being able to use it under pressure are different skills. We practise the second one.
